Poof story: an exhibition at the National Library
Curator: Hagar Raban
In August I participated in a magical exhibition at the National Library in Jerusalem ♡
I was chosen together with 8 other artists and designers to design a pouf inspired by a children's book.
I designed my pouf inspired by the story "Jokha and the Cloak", a folk tale that tells about the poor Jokha who is invited to participate in a festive feast.
Joha arrives at the banquet in a luxurious robe given to him by the host, so that he does not arrive at the event in his clothes
the usual and the ragged. He comes to the feast and receives special treatment and a lot of respect beyond what is usual.
At a certain point, Juha begins to "feed" his cloak with the feast's ingredients - meatballs for the pockets, soup for the sleeves, and much more.
He explains to the surprised guests that his cloak has received so much respect and so have the guests

The dignitary should eat.
My fact as a fashion designer is to breathe life into my sketches. My paintings in the studio are transformed
To the clothes that women wear and that's how my ideas come to life and that's what motivates me in my entire creative process. I think that the idea that Jokha turned his cloak into a human figure (even though he did it to pass criticism) fascinated me and moved me and I decided that like Jokha I would also breathe life into my pouf, I would turn the pouf into a character that visitors to the exhibition would feed on the "food" pillows that I created ♡
